I will protect your pensions. Nothing about your pension is going to change when I am governor. - Chris Christie, "An Open Letter to the Teachers of NJ" October, 2009

Hypocrisy One

Chris Christie, 12/14/11:
Gov. Chris Christie deflected a question today on whether he used his power this week to extract revenge on State Sen. Richard Codey — but not before taking another jab at the former governor.
“What I’ve learned about legislators over time, and particularly about Sen. Codey, is that they seem to be much more worried about the perks of the job than they are about actually getting the job done,” Christie said today at news conference in Pennsauken. [emphasis mine]
Oh, that's just awful. Good for you to point that out, Governor.

Oh, by the way, have you been to any of your kids' games at their private schools lately, followed by a nakedly political meeting?

All on the taxpayers' dime, of course. Christie's not worried about the perks of his job, because he brazenly takes them whenever he wants.
